Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal High Priest, because of your love for us many young men wish to follow you as priests. I pray for all who answered your call to “Come and See” the beauty of the ministerial priesthood. Strengthen them in times of trials and difficulties, and may the Word of God be their shield. Enrich their lives as they serve their brothers and sisters. May the Eucharist be the joy of their life as ordained ministers. Forgive whatever faults they have committed; may they always see your mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Guide their minds and make firm their faith as they study you and the fullness of your truth in the seminary. Help them to be holy as they put themselves in formation in the hands of your instruments, their formators.

Lord, your people pray for more workers in your vineyard; We pray for more Shepherds – patterned in your heart – to lead us, your flock. We need you, we wish to see you, we want to be with you, and we believe that you are present in the person  of your priests. Thus, we pray, dearest Jesus, to send forth the Holy Spirit upon us that we may be faithful to our Christian vocation to be holy. Send in a special way the same Spirit to those whom you have called and may their holiness be deepened in the vocation to priesthood. Amen.

Mary, Immaculate Mother of God and Mother of Priests,
