About Dave




Dave Ceasar Francisco Dela Cruz, Sir Dave or Brother Dave for some, holds a bachelor degree of Elementary Education major in Religious Education from Santa Catalina College-Manila, under the Dominicans.He also has units in AB Political Science from San Sebastian College-Manila. In July 2009, he earned his Diploma of Competency from the Paul VI Institute of Liturgy-Bukidnon after presenting the research paper "The Relics of the Saints in the Liturgy." In April 2011, he finished his academic course for the M.A. in Liturgical Studies at San Beda College-Manila,

In March 2008, the Holy See's Congregation for the Causes of Saints, through the nomination of the Postulation office for the sainthood of Blessed Ivan Merz, named him as Vice Postulator for the Cause for Canonization of Blessed Ivan Merz, and was recognized by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines. Out of love for the saints, he also work as promoter of different causes for sainthood, Hagiographer, and resource person on the celebration and causes of saints and relics in the Liturgy.

Brother Dave, as a professional teacher and official catechist of the Church, serves as faculty member/lecturer to different Catholic colleges, institutions, and communities. He was also featured in different fields of media (TV, Radio, Website), published books and primers. Moreover, he had published and co-published different books, especially his paper "The Relics of the Saints in the Liturgy" and other prayers, which were approved by proper ecclesiastical authorities.

At present, he is a member of the Ministry for Liturgical Affairs of the Diocese of Cubao, where he serves as Diocesan Coordinator for Altar Servers, resource person, and one of the Masters of Ceremonies; Headmaster of the Liturgical Formation and Enrichment Program; Trainor and Master of Ceremonies of the Ateneo Latin Mass Society; and Director of the Confraternity of Catholic Saints together with Frt. Lloyd Paul Elauria, OFM.

Educated by the Dominicans and molded by the Benedictines, Dave has vowed fidelity to the Church and to the Pope, guided by the spirit and teachings of Saint Josemaria Escriva.
